Variety Club Bash

Donate now: support Dave and his Variety NT Bash crew!

Willunga Creek Wines supporters are encouraged to get behind Dave and the team as they gear up for next month’s Variety NT Bash, raising money for children with special needs, and their families.

It’s been a busy year for Dave, his brother-in-law and friend who have been raising money for Variety the Children’s Charity in the lead up to next month’s rally.
They’ll join other Bashers from September 3-10 to visit a range of schools and see lots of children – all while showing off their ‘crazy’ bash cars that have to be seen to be believed!
It’s the culmination of a year of fundraising for the trio, who will travel to the remote corners of the outback in all their colourful bash car (and costume) glory!
Variety the Children’s Charity makes a difference to children growing up with disability, serious illness or disadvantage.
Each year the charity organisation helps more than 150,000 children and families across Australia – providing grants for things like modified tricycles, electric beds and communication devices.
Regional and disadvantaged schools receive much-needed computers and learning and play equipment which helps them find a voice, become mobile, and do everyday activities more easily.
The event began in 1985 when iconic Dick Smith and his mates ran a charity event – a ‘Bash’ in the outback, having heaps of fun and raising money for children.
Over the years it’s become so popular that states across Australia hold their own Bash every year, giving Bashers the unique opportunity to drive old cars to magic places in every corner of the continent, while raising much-needed money for those who need it most.

The Variety NT Bash is a fully-coordinated motoring extravaganza and fundraising initiative of Variety NT.
